announce the
Annual Peapod Concert Benefit, scheduled to take
place at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, CA
on February 6, 2006. The concert performance,
benefiting the children’s charities of The Peapod
Foundation in cooperation with the Entertainment
Industry Foundation, will be broadcast by Network
LIVE on AOLMusic.com, XM Satellite Radio, DIRECTV
and across multiple worldwide Network LIVE
broadcast and wireless partners. The Black Eyed Peas
and will.i.am , founders of The Pea Pod Foundation,
will host and perform at the evening’s event alongside
Sergio Mendes, as well as many other surprise
musical guests.
The annual event brings together music legends of
the past, present and future to raise awareness and
funds for The Peapod Foundation’s childrens charities.
The event is produced by Grassroots Productions,
Will.I.Am Music Group and Thirty-Three Productions,
Inc.
This year’s concert event will feature live
performances of songs from Sergio Mendes’ highly
anticipated new album TIMELESS. On the 40th
anniversary of Mendes’ groundbreaking Brazil 66,
artists will pay tribute by performing the some of the
collaborations that appear on TIMELESS.
TIMELESS is produced by and features will.i.am of the
Black Eyed Peas. The collaboration beautifully blends
the urban cultures of Brazil and America. TIMELESS
features an amazing array of guest artists, including
the Black Eyed Peas, Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu,
Justin Timberlake, Jill Scott, John Legend, Q-Tip, and
India.Arie, just to name a few. The album will be co-
released on February 14 by Concord Records and
Starbucks Hear Music, and will also be available at
Starbucks Company-operated locations in the U.S.
and Canada.
A limited number of tickets to The Peapod Benefit
are on sale at ticketmaster locations.
