Milwaukee’s Triple Threat, Cubed, Gears Up For Debut Mixtape
Multi-talented and aspiring Hip-Hop trio Cubed is gearing up for the release of their sought-after debut mixtape “State Of Emergency Vol. 1”, hosted by DJ Vlad.
The Milwaukee triple threat, compromised of emcees Sean B., J-Benjaman, and Tone, are ready to go major nationwide with “State Of Emergency”, after the group created a strong and impressive local buzz in the Midwest region, which will be released via Benjaman Music on July 8, 2010.
No stranger to hard and dedicated work, Cubed is ready to make a difference by bringing back the “real” elements of the art form Hip-Hop. “Our mixtape ‘State Of Emergency Vol. 1’, hosted by DJ Vlad, brings back elements of Hip-Hop that are often neglected overall by many artists currently making music. There is definitely something for everyone to listen to whether you like club, conscious rap or if you like it street. The whole idea behind making this type of mixtape was to give everyday people something to relate to because not everybody is a boss nor is everybody rich.”
Coming from Milwaukee, which means “The Good Land”, Cubed shows the urban music industry that the overlooked Midwest area is a future force in Hip-Hop to be recognized.
“Cubed feels that it’s our time to shine so we are in a ‘State Of Emergency’ as well, especially coming from Milwaukee which is merely represented in Hip-Hop. The current state of Hip-Hop needs to look to newer territory for artists with something different to bring to its audience. Cubed really feels that we can give everyday people something to relate to. ‘State Of Emergency’ will definitely will show that Cubed is the next big thing!”
Respect. You can want it, you can demand it, but ultimately, it must be earned, and that’s exactly what Cubed will do. “State Of Emergency Vol. 1” will be available for download on July 8, 2010.
