Tobe Nwigwe’s “Father Figure” follows the ubiquitous braggadocious premise in Hip Hop of the emcee on the mic being the father to all his or her competition. It’s a common yet lofty position to take. It’s one that you definitely have to backup. Nwigwe makes a strong case for that argument.
Black Thought & Royce Da 5’9″ are well known to be dangerous with the bars and don’t disappoint here at all. Thoughts quotables are numerous in his verse. Likewise, “Father Figure” has several standout lines.
Tobe Nwigwe
We survive places that demonize feeble minds for what should be legalized, I’m
Just sayin’, dawg, this big old facts
Be weary of the trap with cheese ’cause there’s big old rats
Black Thought
My skin and my hair is Nigerian colored
And does what a Aryan’s doesn’t
Royce Da 5’9″
Gucci conned me out of Luciano
To Armani I’m a Moulinyano
