While Grammy Award-winning producer/rapper Nottz continues to ride high on the 2010 release of his debut solo album, You Need This Music, 2011 figures to be another busy year for the Virginia-based artist. Starting off the new year on a high note, Nottz is releasing a new collaborative track, with Compton, California rapper A-WOLL. The two originally linked in 2010 – A-WOLL cites Nottz as his favorite producer – and the resulting effort is “Active,” a fusion of A-WOLL’s street oriented raps with Nottz bass heavy boom-bap, which will appear on A-WOLL’s debut album, To Whom It May Concern, scheduled for a 2011 release.
