The legendary DJ QBert has committed to appear and perform at the 2009 International DJ Expo.
The innovative scratch DJ and battle champ will participate in a keynote Q&A (with DJ Times Editor Jim Tremayne) to discuss his career and the advances of modern DJ culture. Additionally, he will perform at the DJ Times Square performance stage on the Expo’s show floor.
Along with former Invisibl Skratch Piklz colleague Yogafrog, QBert will also helm an exhibition booth for his company Thud Rumble, and will be taking students for his online DJ school Qbert Skratch University.

Be at Trump Taj Mahal hotspot The Casbah on Aug. 10 and 12 for a pair of not-to-be-missed events. Monday’s annual “Mobile Party” will get Expo attendees up and dancing, while Wednesday’s “DJ of the Year” competition will bestow honors for a variety of mobile-specific categories. Hosted by Mike Walter of Elite Entertainment, the parties give mobile entertainers opportunities to mix and compete with their peers in a nightclub environment.
