I love the Boondocks tv show, it’s hilarious and on point in social commentary (although I would like the N word cut back a bit but I get it in the context of the show) but apparently BET doesn’t share my love. Aww come on BET where’s the love? Well an upcoming episode of Boondocks entitled “Hunger” was due to air and BET wasn’t happy about it. I don’t know y’all something offended them I suppose. I can’t quite place my finger on it. Perhaps you can help me out by watching the leaked clip from the show that was banned and maybe tell me something I might have missed. |
See? I can’t for the live of me figure it out. I’ve watched it 3 times and about to watch that again because dammit that ish is funny! She has skills with that shoe. Aww someone from BET get at me and explain what you are so mad about?
Oh do me a favor though so we can cut through some of the formalities, when you bring your point of view, and remember you are coming from BET, the network that brought us Cita (however you spell it) the cooning 3d video host. You said Little Brother’s video was too intelligent for your viewers and umm that you wouldn’t play De La Soul’s video because they didn’t connect with your audience. Not too mention that although Bob Johnson is a billionaire partly due to BET when he walked that your network still has the worse sound level of all channels on cable, showing that there is money in BET but just not any for investing in making the channel or the production values of the shows you put on better. Just a few things to keep in mind.
Talk to you soon! In the meantime….“I am the stone that the builder refused/I am the visual, the inspiration/that made ladies sing the blues/I am the spark that makes your idea bright/the same spark that lights the dark/so that you can know your left from your right/I am the ballot in your box, the bullet in the gun/the inner glow that lets you know to call your brother ’son’/the story that just begun, the promise of what’s to come/and I’m-a remain a soldier until the war is won“
