Hip Hop Festival Announces Amp’d Mobile as Official Sponsor
Brooklyn, NY – The 2nd Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival (BHF) is
pleased to announce Amp’d Mobile as an official sponsor of their June 24th
event. Their sponsorship helps keep the Festival free and open to the public,
and allows the event to be plugged into their mobile network, making
performances, interviews, and behind the scenes footage available to Amp’d
subscribers. With the launch of Amp’d TV in April this year’s Brooklyn Hip Hop
Festival will be available live to see for all Amp’d customers. Taking place at
the Historic Tobacco Warehouse in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn, the BHF is an
all-day, outdoor celebration of Hip Hop music and culture, and will feature
performances from Big Daddy Kane, Lupe Fiasco, Rhymefest,
Sleepy Brown, The Procussions, The Strange Fruit Project,
Maya Azucena, Panacea, and more.
Amp’d Mobile is the first fully integrated mobile entertainment company for
18-35 year olds. A perfect fit for the Festival as the BHF attracts both old and
new school fans. “We are extremely excited about adding Amp’d Mobile to our
arsenal of supporters of the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival,” said Greg Trani, VP of
the The Room Service Group, producers of the BHF. “Their energetic approach to
wireless technology is in direct alignment with what the Festival is meant to
provide, a top-quality alternative to the mainstream. As a free event,
partnerships like these are vital to the continuity of the Festival – we look
forward to building a long- lasting relationship with Amp’d.”
The Room Service Group is working with Amp’d Mobile to deliver exclusive
content from the 2nd Annual event that will be available even after the Festival
is over. “Creating content from the Festival and making it available to our
community of fans and supporters is a very exciting initiative for us,” said
Festival Chair Wes Jackson. “Utilizing the tools on hand, the Festival will be
available all year long.”
“We are thrilled to be sponsoring and broadcasting live on our phone the 2nd
Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival,” commented Larry Mattera, SVP of Music at
Amp’d Mobile. “This event offers us the opportunity to reach out to Hip Hop fans
in an environment that truly celebrates the music. Brooklyn has long served as a
music hub for ground breaking Hip Hop artists. At Amp’d, we strive to provide a
wide array of content by break- through artists as well as old school icons.
Sponsoring this Festival seemed like a natural fit.”
The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival is a free event, but you must have a ticket to
enter. For more information, and to register for tickets, please visit www.brooklynbodega.com.
