ZUNE “LIVE AT THE BBQ”
Kicks off Thursday, July 12 in Los Angeles with Common, David Banner, UGK, E-40 and Collie Budz.
Zune will be putting together a special series of 3 free summer performance events in LA, Chicago and NYC celebrating hip-hop (dates below). “Live at the BBQ” will feature performances by top hip-hop artists such as Common, David Banner, UGK, Mos Def, Bilal, Clipse, Collie Budz, E-40, Cham, Large Professor. Additional artists confirmations will be released on Zune.net.
“Zune – Live at the BBQ” was created to give back to the cultural core consumer and connecting Zune with that core by giving them the opportunity to participate in the Zune mantra, which is to support Art, Music and Film in the digital space with technology and innovation. Consider these shows as rewards to those who have come to support the digital platform. By bringing music back to the community parks, they’re also a thank you to those individuals in the cities who have come to support the local and national Art, Music and Film community. It’s a nod to a time when this music was about community; community support and community interaction. The idea is to re-create that energy with the ultimate park jam experience.
“‘Live at the BBQ’ is helping to bring hip-hop back to a golden age where records were produced and iconic artists rose directly out of their local communities,” said Bun B. “It’s a chance to put singles, ring tones, and industry hype aside and just get a bunch of our friends together for some great music and BBQ – Let’s eat.”
“LIVE AT THE BBQ” dates:
