Almost as if on cue with what is going on in Hip Hop with Kendrick Lamar stating he’s going for the top spot over everyone, Eminem drops the Call of Duty tie-in track “Survival”. Hip Hop is very much a survival of the fittest in many aspects. This could have even been a response although it’s unrelated. Eminem is consistently lyrical and has been even during his slow down period. Consistency is where the real bar is set that Kendrick and his peers have to aspire to, this is where Hip Hop needs the bar to be.
