DOWNLOAD: Moe Green – 707
Moe Green’s latest single is not off his forthcoming Lionheart EP, which will be released on June 25th and is being presented by OnSMASH and BRWTNSS, but instead, in a similar vein to his recent Frank Ocean-flipping “Great Swim,” takes on another buzzing R&B group. For this song titled, “707,” producer iD utilizes a loose track that flips The Weeknd’s “Glass Table Girls” song and pulls the lyrics “Bring the 707 out” looping them over the beat, a move that’s especially fitting for Moe Green, being that 707 also serves as the area code of his hometown Vallejo, CA. The lyrics, “Never hard to be dope, but great is where achievement is/ They recognize I’m unrecognizable to the weaker shit,” showcases Moe’s motto. “It ain’t that hard to be dope,” he explains, “The inspiration was just to show that my slept on city goes hard.”
