Rawkus Records recording artists The Procussions are
preparing to hit the road to bring their energetic live
show to fans along the west coast. The first leg of
the Storm Tour, which takes its name from the
group’s newest single, is set to take off on May 30th
in San Diego, California and will wind its way up the
coast to June 6th’s Seattle, Washington concert.
The group will also be heading to their old Colorado
stomping grounds for 3 homecoming-type shows in
Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs. The
Procussions have already made a splash on this
year’s musical landscape with lead single “The Storm”
and b-side “Miss January” featuring Talib Kweli. The
tour will serve as a platform for The Procussions to
showcase additional new tracks from their upcoming
sophomore release Five Sparrows For Two
Cents, scheduled to hit stores on May 30th.
In typical Procussions fashion, the group has
surrounded themselves with ground breaking groups
with ground breaking performances representing all
corners of the US including Aceyalone and Ugly
Duckling from Southern Cali, Diverse from Chicago,
and Mayday! & Wrekonize from Miami; a kaleidoscope
of hip hop is guaranteed. Created by Airport
Management, The Storm tour is an annual Hip Hop
event, showcasing the best emerging independent
hip hop artists. Each artist on the tour is making a
national impact with recent or soon-coming album
releases. Midwesterners and East Coast residents
fear not – additional nationwide tour dates running
through July 16th are to be announced.
