Latest Video From Patience Accompanies Announcement Of Forthcoming EP
Roughly a year since the release of his well received debut LP Patience, produced entirely by Jake One and released on his own label Interdependent Media, the California MC and musical jack of all trades, TRUTHLiVE, is gearing up to drop his new EP The Remembering. The new EP continues building momentum to what has already been eye catching start for the emanating wordsmith, producer, DJ and entrepreneur. Having gained the attention of regional commercial radio (106.1 KMEL in San Francisco) and various video Networks (namely MTV) with the release of his single “Ready Set Go” feat. label mate Moe Green, TRUTH was propelled into a variety of National appearances. Most notably sharing the stage with emerging stars such as J. Cole, Jay Electronica, and Kendrick Lamar, as well as being an official showcasing artist at the highly regarded SxSW, A3C and CMJ festivals (to strong critical acclaim respectively). The Remembering will drop in July 2011 on Interdependent Media/iM Culture, prefaced by the release of this new video for “Poetry In Motion,” from the album Patience.
The Background:
Evan “TRUTHLiVE” Phillips, owner and founder of Interdependent Media, has certainly made his mark in the music industry with his wide range of talents. As an emcee, DJ, entrepreneur, and artist, TRUTHLiVE has had his hands in everything from a very young age. After a traumatic adolescent period where his health was at risk, three heart surgeries proved the artist to be quite a fighter. He explains to his new listeners, “The name TRUTHLiVE doesn’t mean that I’m proclaiming myself as the truth, end-all be-all; it’s more of a reminder to myself on how to conduct my life and career.” The MC best summates, “My music is my truth and my life.” That meaningful music is available now in the form of Patience, TRUTHLiVE’s debut release, courtesy of Bay Area label Interdependent Media.
